New Shoes Encourage Excercise & Limit TV Time

Sounds like a lot to ask of a shoe, doesn't it? Never the less, it's what the genius mind of a student at London's Brunel University dreamed up.
The system, named "Square-Eyes" has a mechanism in the shoe soles, and another that hooks up to a TV. Kids who wear the shoes earn "TV time" by walking a certain distance in the shoes. After the earned time has been spent, the television shuts off.
What a world - I love this concept. I'm hoping in the future, I can trade in steps taken for getting out of something ... like, doing dishes or scooping cat boxes.
