Poll: How Obsessed with Handbags are You?

In addition to my obvious addiction to shoes, I have a fixation with handbags that is probably also considered unnatural.

For example, I went into an Aldo shoe store tonight -- not to buy shoes, just to look -- I swear!

I'm happy to say, I didn't buy any new shoes. I did however, come out with two new handbags.

At least they were unbelievable bargains, at less than $10 each. I justified the purchases by telling myself I might give them as gifts.

I won't.

Strangely, or perhaps even sadly, this followed a shopping trip last night in which I ran into a Bath and Body Works for some reason or another, and came out with two handbags - both of them red, no less.

But they were beautiful, and irresistible, and one was suede, and the other was croc-embossed; and one was a smaller bag, while the other one was practically like a piece of luggage, which I really, really need ... and what is a girl to do when faced with such temptations?

Shoes and handbags are an obvious pair. In fact, most shoe-addicts I talk to also have a fixation with bags and luggage.

So, in honor of my "Handbag Weekend," I've pulled together a ton of purse-related articles to share with those who share my obsession.

For all the upcoming holiday events you'll be attending, I've found several top picks in Evening Handbags.

Since bags are available in all price ranges, and styles to suit everyone, they really do make great gifts. Here are a few suggestions, from Target Store Handbags, to the fabulous Kathy Van Zeeland Handbags, and the ultra-hip Handbags from Juicy Couture.

And don't forget the guys in your life, here are some Cool Men's Bags that are sure to please the hippest men you know.

You'll also want to check out this image gallery of some of the hottest Leather Handbags, and when you're done with that, be sure to let the world know how you feel about Designer Purses in this new Hot or Not survey.

Enjoy!

would you send the place where I send the D&B handbag back. The one that I have is tearing on the bottom. I was also wondering if it is possible if I could get a different color or style of the same value. I’m also willing to pay the difference. Please work with me. D&B is my signature handbag. THANK YOU!

Hi Toni,

I wish I could help you more, but I don’t work for Dooney and Bourke, I just write about them.

However, if you use the link I left you in the comment above, (Dooney and Bourke FAQs), you’ll find the customer service information for Dooney and Bourke, including their return policies, phone number, and address.

I’d be sure to call them before sending the bag back though. Just to be sure they’ll accept it, and also to confirm the address you should send it to.

Good luck!
Desiree
