Gap Shoes - Coming Soon

Shoe buyers will have a new shopping site to look forward to, as The Gap announced yesterday their plans to open an online shoe store.

According to the release, nearly two thirds of their online customers surveyed last year said they would buy shoes from such a site.

As well as Gap-branded footwear, the site will offer other leading brands for men, women and kids. This is a bit of a departure for the Gap, as their clothing stores only sell products bearing their own brand name. Not yet named, the site is expected to be open for the 2006 holiday season.
