Gladiator Sandals - Love Them or Hate Them?

My dislike of Gladiator sandals has been well documented, but I am nothing if not shoe-tolerant. So stand up for your love or hate of this latest fashion faux pas! Which best describes your feelings about Gladiator sandals: (Click on your response to vote.)

2. They're cute. A fun trend for the warm weather.

I dont know. I have a pair but there shorter and I wear them with a long skirt and/or jeans but with mini skirts and the ones that wind up the leg I dont know I think that you look like you need a chariot and a spear and it in my opinion can tend to look trashy. I havent seen anyone that has been able to pull off the longer ones yet but Im sure that there’s a way. I’d love to see it.

The long ones especially are a problematic style for most body types.
I haven’t seen them look good yet either, but like you, think there probably is a way … maybe .. I have come around on trends before though, so who knows?
Okay what I would like to know is everyones stance on those darn furry boats that look like you attacked a bear and cut his feet off. Has that style gone to far? I think that it has!
I’ve seen some women, and men, make some serious blunders when it comes to shoes, but these, in my Amelda Marcos, opinion are fabulous!!! I just bought those exact shoes, the MIA ones in brown, and I personally wear them with kurtas, looks great! my husband tells me I look earthy and he loves it! I get lots of kudos for my fashion flair.
By the By what’s up with the rubber garden clogs everyone is going ga-ga over? I see them EVERYWHERE!? Blech!

I agree with the chariot and spear view. I don’t own them. Don’t get me wrong I love strappy sandals but I can’t think of a way to pull them off, at least not the ones going up the leg.
I have the one that come up to ur ankle, and I love them. I wear them with mini skirts and jean shorts.
I love roman sandals or gladiator sandals.
