Cleaning Suede Boots & Shoes

Tuesday October 17, 2006

I absolutely adore suede boots and shoes -- they look so luxurious and chic.

Unfortunately, they don't look that way for long. Especially when they're exposed to elements such as snow, water, and salt.

That's why, when it comes to suede footwear, the old adage "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" definitely applies.

But if that ship has already sailed, there are some fairly easy methods for Cleaning Suede. Be sure to check them out if you have some suede shoes or boots that could use a good cleaning.

I normally do not do this, but I’m not happy. I bought my daughter a paire of Candies shoes for school, she wore them 4 times and they are all scuffed and the sole is all unglued from the tips of the shoes..She was not playing rough outside with them either. Sorry, but I will never buy another pair. On Sale, 23.99 for 4 wears is not impressive.

I haven’t had a pair of Candie’s for a while, so I don’t really have much to add. But I do know that sometimes even within a brand line, there are differences in the way a shoe will wear.

I think it’s very helpful to hear the experiences of others, so thanks for sharing. You might want to add this information to one of my blog posts about Candies Shoes, where it might be of more help to others.
