Peep Toe Pumps - A Flattering Shoe Style

Saturday January 20, 2007

There are so many things to love about the shoes shown here: the shiny patent leather uppers; the artsy sculpted heels; the combination of red and pink ... the list goes on and on. But what I really want to talk about is the peep-toe part of these fabulous peep-toe pumps.

As a general rule, shoes with a peep toe design are so much more foot-flattering than shoes that just have an open toe that cuts straight across the foot. The reason is simple: even the most beautiful of feet can look ungainly hanging over the edge of their shoes.

Of course, I'm not suggesting that we stop wearing slides or other shoes that reveal our entire toe line -- there are far too many sexy shoes that fall into those categories to ignore them altogether.

But if think you can't wear open-toed shoes because you don't like your toes, a peep-toe shoe is an option that is flattering for nearly any foot.
