Who Will Be the Next Shoe Star?

I just spent the last 15 minutes watching the coolest video, and I have to share because I know all my fellow footwear lovers are going to have as much fun with it as I did.

Here's the scoop: Footwear News and Nine West have been in search of the next Shoe Star. The competition started with 7 contestants made up of FIT seniors from the accessories design program. After a series of shoe design challenges, the field has now been narrowed down to three.

The winner of the competition will have the opportunity to work on the Spring 2009 Nine West accessories team.

I don't want to ruin the suspense by telling you how the latest challenge panned out, but I will tell you that the mission was to create a red carpet shoe using a celebrity of the students' choosing as inspiration. I'll also add that my favorite of the up-and-coming designers survived this round.
