Manolo Blahnik and the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style

Thursday September 25, 2008

manolo_blahnik.jpgRecently given the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style award, Manolo Blahnik now joins the ranks of Giorgio Armani, Edith Head, Gianni and Donatella Versace and Salvatore Ferragamo for his contributions to the entertainment industry ... but then, we already knew that Manolo was something special.

Aside from the fact that he's a rich, famous, award-winning shoe designer, he and I also have quite a bit in common. Though women around the world adore his high heeled designs, the women's shoe designer loves flats, and wishes more women would embrace the chic silhouette. And judging from this photo, he has a thing for red footwear. Surprisingly, he also doesn't have a problem with flip-flops, as long as the feet are well manicured.

But we don't agree on everything, Mr. Blahnik and I. For example, he detests platform shoes, and I adore them.

For more about Manolo Blahnik likes and dislikes, and the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style, check out the following resources.
