November, 2004: New Adidas Shoes for David Beckham
English football's National Team Captain and Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham probably needs a new pair of Adidas shoes like the rest of us need another hole in the head. But when the Adidas shoes are as cool as these personalized "Predator Pulse Thumbprint" shoes from Adidas, and David Beckham is as cool as ... well ... David Beckham, who am I to argue?
These Adidas shoes incorporate into their design, David Beckham's own thumbprint, and are called "Predator Pulse Thumbprint" - a new version of the Predator Pulse shoes launched earlier by Adidas.
David sported his own personal version of the Adidas shoes for the first time in an England friendly with Spain on November 17, 2004.
Beckham's Thoughts on New Adidas Shoes
Adidas shoes always exemplify the cool design, and the Predator Pulse Thumbprint soccer cleats are no exception.
But, as excited as I was to learn about David Beckham's new Adidas shoes, Becks was perhaps even more excited about his own personal version, telling reporters, These are definitely the most personal shoes Ive ever worn. My own boots will carry the names of my kids, the icon logo, my number, my autograph and it will be designed around my thumbprint.
Availability of Adidas Thumbprint Shoes
The Predator Pulse is part of Beckham's signature logo range of products, and the commercial version of these Adidas shoes will be available starting November 23, 2004 at select retailers. They will cost about $220.00 U.S.
