Flat boots can be casual or dressy, they're typically more wearable than heeled boots, and they look great with just about anything. Maybe that's why flat boots have become such a popular choice for Fall and Winter.
Here are a few of my favorite styles in low-heeled boots and flat boots for women.
Tall, sleek and chic, these skinny boots come in purple, brown or black suede and feature heels that are only .75" high. Playing perfectly into the season's over-the-knee trend, these boots are ultra-hip, while still being basic enough to be worn season after season -- they're also versatile enough to be paired with dressy or casual outfits.
Tall and slouchy with a folded-down collar, these flat boots come in several colors that are perfect for Fall, including gray, blue, brown and black. Casual for sure, but still loaded with style, and not so casual that they can't be worn with a laid-back dress or skirt.
Featuring an unexpected chain at the ankle, this tall flat boot comes in black suede and has a black leather back heel. Made in Italy, these boots aren't cheap, but if it's attention and accolades you're after, then these lookers give a lot of bang for the buck.
This boots actually has a 1.5" heel, but that's still low enough that I know most of you looking for a flat boot will approve -- especially once you see it. Shaped like a classic equestrian boot, the 'Rhodee' gets is biker styling via a wide buckled belt at the ankle. And it looks great in brown or black.
Dressier than most flat boots, these sleek knee-highs are free of buckles, belts and slouchiness, making them ideal for pairing with skirts and dresses. But as is the case with most boots, they'd still look great with jeans.
