Kids' Slippers

Top Slippers for Kids

By Desiree Stimpert, About.com

Slippers not only help keep your kids' feet warm and clean, they also offer a little bit of added protection around the house. But just because they're practical, doesn't mean they can't be cute. Below are some of my favorite kids' slippers, including styles for both boys and girls.

1. Ragg "Missy" Slippers for Girls

Ragg Shoes has an entire line of cute shoes, sandals and slipper for kids, but these Missy slippers are among the cutest. Available in several colors and sized for toddlers and children, the print fabric uppers and marabou trim are nicely embellished with a rhinestone crown charm.

2. Foamtreads "Bee Bee" - Indoor / Outdoor Slippers

What I really like about these slippers is that they have rubber soles that are suitable for indoor and outdoor wear. With pink uppers, blue or navy uppers and contrast stitching, they're exceptionally cute as well. The mule style makes them easy to slip on and off, and the wool uppers make them extra cozy.

3. Acorn Mocs - Shaggy Slippers for Boys and Girls

In colors that will please both boys and girls, these shaggy slippers feature classic styling, fleece linings and memory foam midsoles. I'm crazy about the plum version.

4. Roxy "In Your Dreams" Slipper Boots

Tall like boots, but featuring terry cloth uppers, these slippers look so warm and cuddly, I'm sort of wishing they made them for adults. Available in pink or vanilla.

5. Giesswein "Rees" Slipper

These slippers must be seen to be believed. Featuring ultra-warm wool uppers and knit collars, what really makes these slippers unique is the appliqued puppy and heart scene on the side.

6. Bedtime Safari Slippers - Light Up Slippers

Designed as a companion to the "Bedtime Safari" book by Hillary Hayden Burri, these slippers absolutely take the cute cake. "Bumper" is the green dune buggy from the story, and "Chassis" is pink, and now your kids can wear either of them upon their feet. And as cute as the design is, the real show stealer is the fact that both versions feature headlight eyes that light up with each step ... super-fun at night!

7. Target Slippers for Kids

Next time you're at your local Target store, be sure to check out their slipper section. Filled with popular characters like Hello Kitty, Dora the Explorer, Barney, and more, they also have an array of non-character slippers that kids will love. And the best part is the prices ... I don't think I've seen one pair that costs more than $10 (U.S.). If you can't find what you're looking for locally, you can use this link to visit their web site.
