Within each line from every brand or designer of dress shoes, there are likely to be some glamorous styles. But there are a few labels that consistently stand out as leaders in the production of glamorous shoes. Here are a few of my current favorites.
Rene Caovilla
I can honestly say I've never seen shoes I have coveted quite as much as those from Rene Caovilla. Clicking through an image gallery of these luxurious, unique and glamorous shoes is more like browsing through a program for an art exhibit than it is like looking at footwear. If you haven't seen them, you must. If you have, you'll know it's worth another look.
Gina Shoes
Most certainly one of the leaders in glamorous footwear, Gina evening shoes are the ultimate in luxury. Of course all that shimmer and sparkle doesn't come cheap. With prices ranging from about $500 - $800 (US), the shoes may just be a dream for many of us -- but honestly, just looking at them is a high like no other.
Nina Shoes
If you're in need of glamorous footwear, but don't have a fortune to spend on it, you'll definitely want to check out Nina Shoes. With most of their styles coming in at under $100, this mid-priced line features lots of bows, bling and beauty, and the shoes look far more expensive than they are. A glamour "go-to" brand for sure.
Dikuza Shoes
If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing a pair of Dikuza shoes yet, you must check them out right away. Having launched her first line in the summer of 2006, designer Sandi Cheung adorns her gorgeous shoes with irresistible accents like Swarovski crystals and stunning stainless steel heels. Prices range from about $100 - $300 (US), and women with larger feet can now begin their happy dance, as Dikuza is in the process of setting up a custom shoe service for women who wear a US size 12 or larger.
Giuseppe Zanotti
Many of the designs in Giuseppe Zanotti's lines are too funky and fun to be called glamorous, but if you've ever seen the evening sandals bearing this label, you'll know why they had to be included on this list. With staggeringly high heels, loads of jewel embellishments and a heaping side of sex appeal to go with all that glamour, these designer shoes should definitely be on your list of must-sees.
RSVP
All the bling you can handle at prices that are very affordable, RSVP is a great choice when you need lots of glamour for little money. With prices ranging from about $40 - $70 (US), and styles ranging from trendy to sophisticated, the beautiful designs from this line are definitely worth a look even if you're able to afford much more expensive footwear.
Stuart Weitzman
Stuart Weitzman's collections run the gamut from dress shoes to casual footwear, and his designs range from trendy to elegant. But when it comes to glamour, few designers do it as well as Weitzman does within his evening and bridal shoe lines. From sexy to demure, nearly every look can be glammed up a bit with a pair of Stuart Weitzman evening shoes.
