Top Nike Shoes for Women

By , About.com Guide

Who knew there were so many Nike shoes to choose from? Including everything from sneakers to casual styles, here are my top picks in Nike shoes for women.

1. Nike Boots - "Winter Hi 3"

It's the Winter Hi 3! Even better than last year. Nothing but fun, these sporty, casual boots from Nike feature nylon uppers, faux fur collars and pom poms, and full front lacing. Cute with jeans when regular high tops just aren't tall enough. Available in plaid, pink and white, brown, grey, and be still my heart white. (pictured left: Winter Hi 2)

2. "Capri Ballerina" - Casual Nike Shoes for Women

Cute with a capital "C," these plaid skimmers from Nike feature a stretchy mary jane strap with metallic gold and black stripes. Perfect with jeans or casual minis, these ballerina sneakers have the swoosh logo on a tiny side tag.

3. Nike Shoes - "Air Scandal Mid" in Metallic Platinum

Every time I write about a metallic sneaker, I get questions about where to find it, long after the shoes are no longer available. It's nice to know I'm not the only one drawn to shiny things.

With a completely metallic platinum upper, these Nike hi-top shoes should keep even the flashiest among us happy.

4. Nike "Air Shoo-In" - Lightweight Walking Shoes

These Nike walking shoes are so cute they're actually making me think about taking up walking ... you know, like really walking, and not just to the car. With lightweight mesh uppers, a petite side swoosh and lots of sporty stripes, these shoes also have loads of comfort features. But mostly, I like them because they make me want to dress in sporty shorts and skirts.

5. Nike Shox Sculp - Women's Athletic Shoes

"Designed for athletes that train for multiple sports." Okay, so I guess I'm out on these seeing as how I train for no sports, but for my athletically-inclined sisters, I give you these streamlined, gorgeous shoes from Nike. Of course the Shox system provides added heel support.
