Walking in high heels

Not all heels are created equal-just ask anyone who has walked in them. For me, platforms offer the most comfort when you're out and about for any length of time. Even then, some form of padded inserts are a must when I am transversing concrete sidewalks, tile floors or other types of hard surfaces. I find that a 5/8" or so of platform provides the necessary cushioning for extended periods of walking time. In addition, the width of the shoe plays an important part in overall comfort. Recently I went out for shopping, dining, and girl talk with cosmetics salesladies that required just standing in one place for several minutes at a time. When you are on your feet for hours on end with occasional brief periods of sitting down the foot comfort consideration is of paramount importance.

If the Shoe Fits Wear It

I realize high heels are not for everybody. But when the mood hits to be fabulous, make sure you invest in a pair that is well worth it!! I am shoe fanatic! Couldn't imagine life without them!!

The best thing about high heels is:

High heels, stilettos in particular, are the one item of feminine clothing that can be considered exclusively female. Pants, shirts, blouses, gloves, hats, coats, hair pieces, skirts (i.e. the Scottish kilt) all have their male counterpart. High heels, on the other hand, are in a domain all by themselves.

High heels not only for genetic females

I am a crossdresser and am 5'3" tall but with 4" heels when dressed as a woman, I blend right in with the majority of the female population. In addition I frequently receive compliments on my stilettos from women I encounter in public.

I Love a Heel

I have to go along with all of the other posts about loving to wear heels. I have loved heels since high school and even more after losing a leg a few years ago. I use crutches most of the time and routinely wear a four-inch stiletto with no problems at all. I have a great feeling of accomplishment in a heel, especially since I am defying the medical profession's stand that heels and crutches are the road to disaster. I fully agree with what Kim said above about mules and slides. Fortunately I am in a warm weather climate and love that I can wear a very nude sandal year round.

Good, I don't think so.

There is nothing good about high heels. They are hard to walk, hurt your feet, bad for your feet, legs and back. Podiatrists' nightmare. Should be abolished.

Sexist shoes depending on who's looking

I wear high heels everyday, at work and on days off. Most work days I wear pumps and slingbacks. In the spring and summer I like to wear slides and mules and Im always being approached by men complimenting my heels. Its great.

I love the slapping sound my heels make

My favorite heels are slides and mules. I like the way I walk when I'm wearing backless heels, a little slower and shorter steps.

Great Legs

When I'm pregnant, it's sometimes difficult to feel that I'm dressed well enough to go out. Never so in High Heels. I love them; my legs love them, and as long as there are no problems, I'm going to keep wearing them.

Wearing high heels all the time

About 30 years ago, a pediatrician told me that when a woman wears high-heels all the time that over the years the tendon at the back of the foot shrinks and this can cause pain when wearing low heels.

A man's perspective ...

Most men will agree that there's something about a woman in high heels that is really appealing. I haven't the slightest idea why. My lady is tall and and when she puts on a pair of high heels which she wears very easily, she looks georgeous. We're semi-professional ballroom dancers and I don't think there's anything more attractive than a graceful woman dancing in heels.

Added heigh and sex appeal

I'm 5'2" have worn high-heeled shoes for 55 years, I am now 69 and still wear them. I'm sure this is why my calf muscles are so good also they give me extra height - 5'5", makes me feel good and sexy.

Exclusively Ours

Only we privileged women are allowed to wear high heels!

The way heels make me feel ...

powerful, confident, sexy and feminine. Cheap and badly-fitted heels lead to foot problems, but with well-fitted quality heels, the more often you wear them, the less true "high heels are hard to walk in" becomes. And I believe that the back and knee problems some women experience is down to bad posture when not used to wearing heels.

The sound

I like my girl wear high heel shoes, it's sexy. The sound is very good.
