My Shoe Room
- I have actually turned our spare bedroom into a shoe room (with my husband's help)! He put shelves up on all empty walls and nice teflon coated racks. I put all of my shoes into clear plastic boxes and organized them according to type of shoe. ex: sandals, stilettos, wedges, etc. I then took pictures of them (I'm still in the process) and tape the picture on the end of each box. Now I can look at the photo and choose my shoes! I also have a chair complete with mirrors (just like in shoe stores) for trying on my shoes. I truly enjoy my shoes and shoe room!

Who needs more?
- One pair on my feet (usually tennies) 1 pair dress shoes and 1 pair walking shoes and these are under the clothes hanging in my closet. Very simple and easy. Who needs more than 3 pairs anyway? You can only wear 1 pair at a time. Any more than that is just extravagance and a waste of money. I used to have 4 but my penny loafers wore out.

Making Use of Doors
- I use the back of the doors (and don't have nearly so many shoes but tiny, tiny closets) - but I prefer a fabric holder to metal or plastic, to me it's a homier feel.

Golfer
- I found a perfect product for storing shoes (and other things) that makes it simple to identify and easy to grab: Eazyfind. These are boxes which you assemble and stack. The front of the box has a place to store a photo of what's inside (I cut out the shoe picture or take one) and flips down for easy access. You don't have to unstack anything, lift, etc. So now, when I want my red and white golf shoes, I just flip open the box with the red and white photo and Voila! there are my shoes, ready to go. Easy and fun to use. You can find out more details by visiting eazyfind.net. I also use the boxes to store golf visors.

Pictures on Shoe Boxes
- I keep all my shoes in boxes and take a picture of them on my feet, and attach the pic to the front of the box. They are on shelves starting dark to light ... I LOVE MY SHOES! I'm 40 and some I have from when I was 23 or so are back in style ... LOVE that!

How I organize my beautiful shoes

Color is where it's at!
- i organize my 137 pairs of shoes first by color, and then heel height with the highest heel on the left and the lowest on the right. I never have to search for anything.

I thought I was a shoe addict!
- Until I started reading about everyone else's collection! LOL. After sorting (and I will do so again) I only have around 130 pairs of shoes. They were kept on custom built shelves in my husband's walk-in closet (mine is full of jewelry) but I am moving and noticed that most were covered in dust! So now I am going back to boxes with windows ... it is no fun dusting off silk covered pumps -- trust me! I wanted the tweed-covered ones from the container store but at 17.99 each -- well, let's just say I could buy lots of shoes for that price. So I am going to try to find the ezfind store or get the shoebbys--but they are out of the ones that let my shoes stand up. I have more purses than shoes (over 700) now THAT is my real addiction--but --what is a purse if you do not have matching shoes? LOL

Easy to find - easy to open!
- I just found the perfect answer! I was looking for something affordable to protect my shoes and I found "EazyFind". These boxes are the greatest! The front opens like a mailbox and it has a window that holds a picture of my shoes that are in the box. They are stackable and I have stacked them 6 high on my closet floor. Now I can see and get the pair that I need without juggling boxes and creating clutter on my closet floor. I was amazed at how much more space I have and how organized my closet looks. I Googled the web site, eazyfind.net but it took me to Amazon.com when I wanted to purchase them.

Clear Boxes
- Ok I am a shoe addict. I have more than 300 pairs, and I live in a Studio in Manhattan. So the only place clear of my shoes is my pillow! I found these clear boxes called SHOEBBY, they are great. Go get them and then hiding or organizing your shoes will no longer be a problem and for those of you who don't cook, try to use the space for pans and pots in your kitchen to store some of your shoes.

Storage Boxes to Organize Shoes
- I have over 300 pair and my closet shelves are full, as well as the area under the hanging clothing. Sorry, none under the beds. We bought the large size storage boxes with the dual hinged lids. I have heels sorted by color and by summer/winter styles. A lady cannot have too many shoes and if it fits buy it in every color.

Shoe storage, an ongoing problem!
- Great topic this week! I bet I have over 200 pairs of shoes - everything from heels to sneakers, stored in every nook and cranny of our home. My closet shelves are packed, as is the space under my bed. My husband rented an off-site storage facility a few years ago for some extra furniture we acquired. I manage to sneak a few boxes of my little lovelies in there a few months ago! I can't imagine parting with any of them ... it's a real problem. One quick tip: I will often snap a picture of each pair to the outside of the shoe box. This allows quick scanning of my collection and speeds up matching my shoes with what I'm wearing that day.

How I Organize my 65 Pairs of Shoes
- I have 65 pair of shoes. I keep them in a wall wadrobe on long shelves. Every pair stay in shop box, wrapped by thin paper with small silica gel pack in every shoe. I write on every box by water pan: name, color, heel, place for wearing (beach, office, sport, shop, etc.) I Plan to make photo of every pair and glue on the side for easy finding.

How Do You Organize Your Shoes?
- I brought stackable shelving units from Target to organize my shoes. This way I can control the amount of space used and I can see all of my shoes.
